Lithium Technologies, a leader in on-demand community and social-networking software for enterprise customers, is seeking an experienced project manager to lead its software development operations in China . Good spoken and written English is important as the project manager will be interfacing with team members in the United States .   The project manager for Lithium China will be responsible for managing a software engineering team consisting of 5 to 12 engineers and ensuring smooth coordination between the China-based team and engineers at Lithium corporate headquarters in the United States . Specific responsibilities include:
1、 Helping to hire a talented team of software developers and software quality assurance (QA) engineers.
2、 Evaluating, managing, and mentoring the team as it grows.
3、 Designing and implementing processes that successfully integrate with Lithium's lightweight management philosophy, loosely based on Agile development methodologies.
4、 Scheduling projects and ensuring clear communication of projects' status and milestones.
5、 Prioritizing and coordinating bug fixes and managing internal releases.
6、 Allocating and balancing resources among multiple concurrent projects to achieve consistent on-time delivery.
7、 Participating in regular conference calls between the China office and Lithium headquarters in the United States .
8、 Periodic travel to the United States .  

The project manager role is demanding, requiring a combination of technical acumen, managerial skill, and an ability to engage with North American personnel across time zones. The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:  
1、 A master's degree or better from a top university.
2、 At least 3 years' experience directly managing engineering teams of 10 or more.
3、 Experienced with web development and hosted on-demand projects
4、 A proven track record of delivering shipping software on schedule and at high quality levels.
5、 Mastery of written English and clear verbal English.
6、 An understanding of the principles of online communities and social networking sites is also strongly preferred.   This position may involve occasional travel to the United States for training and knowledge transfer.
